If you are wishing to purchase land to build on the laws are as follows: 1. Outside the municipal boundaries you are restricted on the build area to 20% maximum of the total land area. (This may be less in some areas). There is also a height restriction of two stories maximum. Please check local restrictions for the area in which you wish to purchase. 2. We can recommend a number of architects who will assist you in the planning of your property. Once the plans have been lodged with The District Office and your building permit paid for, work can commence on your build. 3. All land in the TRNC is measured in donums. 3 donums is equal to 1 acre 1 donum is equal to 1338 m² 4 evleks is equal to 1 donum N.B Foreigners are restricted to buying 1 donum of land in any one married name. |
